The fundraising dinner for the Youth Anxiety Center was a star-studded affair, with guests including @kendalljenner and @deepikapadukone. When speaking to the crowd, Padukone urged them not to be deceived by appearances. “That was the hardest part,” @deepikapadukone said of her own experience with depression, “to put on a front every single day like everything is okay in your life when actually that’s far from reality. You’re smiling and bringing joy into other people’s lives when you have none.” Tap the link in our bio to read more from the event. Photographed by @hunterabrams
If there’s one thing I do know,& more so in recent times,is that I have followed my Bliss.
Like Joseph Campbell famously said-“If you do follow your bliss you put yourself on a kind of track that has been there all the while, waiting for you,and the life you ought to be living is the life you are living... So follow your bliss and don’t be afraid, and doors will open where you never knew they would... Thank You for the honour Grazia!
Mental illness has presented society with a very tough challenge... But my experience with the illness has taught me so muchto be patient for one...but most importantly that there is ‘Hope’! @tlllfoundation#youthanxietycentre
Apart from research and outreach programmes,The Youth Anxiety Center has conducted more than 75,000 treatment sessions in six years...something to be very proud of!
Thank You #AnnaWintour for inviting me as your guest to this very special evening and allowing me to share my story.
I wish you all the very best and look
forward to supporting the centres future initiatives.
As the African proverb goes, “If you want to go fast go alone, if you want to go far, go together”. @tlllfoundation#youthanxietycentre@voguemagazine
