I think I have something wrong with me... Last night I had two packets (500g) of white coconut rice with my dinner, an apple and a tub of magnum ice cream (440ml) and I didn’t gain any body fat overnight πŸ€” . I started my dinner at 11pm and finished my ice cream by 12am (midnight) and went straight to bed 😴 . That’s almost 250g of carbs and 2388 calories in one sitting (swipe left for MyFitnessPal stats) 🀯 . How did I not gain body fat overnight?? I must be an alien πŸ‘½ because apparently if you eat carbs late at night and go straight to sleep without burning them off, it’s going to turn into fat 😱 . According to Instagram I should be overweight by now. PLEASE HELP!!! . . Joking aside, as opposed to demonising a specific macronutrient which is the main fuel source for the body (carbs) and the timing of it, let’s look at how we actually lose weight. . We lose weight in a calorie deficit and our body doesn’t care when we consume the food. So make the most of it and manipulate it for your lifestyle. . If you want to eat less during breakfast and lunch then pig out at night time (like me πŸšπŸ”πŸ¦πŸͺ). DO THAT. If you want to have a big breakfast and taper your calories off toward the evening, DO YOU. The amazing thing with nutrition is that we can make it work for our lifestyles and the best thing is that no one cares (even your metabolism), so do what you want!
