Week 3 of the preseason continues tonight, which means here is another edition of our 'Preseason Players to Watch', highlighting noteworthy fantasy options for the upcoming season.
Today's Players to Watch:
1. #TonyPollard - After what has been an amazing first 2 weeks to the preseason (9 carries, 58 yards, 1 TD), Tony Pollard's success this week, against a very strong Texans front 7, will decide a lot in the coming days/weeks. With a strong showing, Pollard likely remains the RB1 as Jerry Jones and company would be a bit more hesitant to pay big money to Elliott amidst a strong preseason from Pollard, but on the other hand, if Pollard struggles this week, it could likely force a contract to Elliott.
2. #KylerMurray - After a horrific Week 2 (3/8 for 12 yards in 4 drives), this week will be a major indicator of Murray's floor heading into 2019 and his draft price for the remaining drafts. Keep a close eye on Murray's rapport with Christian Kirk/KeeSean Johnson, his usage of David Johnson out of the backfield, and especially the O-Line play against a stout Minnesota defense.
3. #DarwinThompson - Arguably no RB has made more progress this offseason/preseason than Thompson, who has been red hot with 9 carries for 52 yards and 1 catch for 29 yards and a TD thusfar in the preseason. He can carve out a substantial role with another solid outing today and put the pressure on Damien Williams. Watch his usage in the receiving game and in the redzone/along the goal-line very closely today, which will likely tell his baseline value heading into the regular season.
