You are pulling from your feet instead of straight forward at chest level. . . I felt like I was able to engage my entire back with this row variation due to the positioning and control of the weight. . . Takeaway tips. Keep a tight core and an upright posture. You can slightly lean forward to increase your stretch but you should tighten you scapula as you draw the weight back. From a powerlifting perspective, face pulls have been one of the best bench asc. to keep a rigid torso and holding a a good set up up throughout the barbell bench press. 1.) Grab a weight light enough to control throughout a set of around 10-15 reps. 2.) Grab the rope or band about shoulder width apart without slouching forward. - Keep scapula depressed down, or squeeze lats really hard and maintain this position throughout the movement. ✅ 3.) Pull the weight as if you’re doing an eccentric part on a bench press. 4.) Squeeze/retract scapula really hard while keeping a stable depressed/contracted lat position. 5.) Repeat and don’t allow your body to get loose. Solid session training arms! 😁 Just did supersets with the 60 and 40 pound bar and concentration curls with the 25s. 💪Felt good, felt strong! 🙏

Solid dumbbell session with my dad @9__finger  today! 😁 This was after some bench presses too. 😳 Was surprised with how strong I felt on them still. 💪 Did a set of 10 50s, set of 10 65s, set of 10 80s, set of 8 100s, set of 10 120s, and a set of 18 100s. 🤘 Thinking about taking a break from bench press and transitioning over to dumbbell presses for awhile. 🤔 Bench felt off and just am over it honestly. 😩 Really enjoyed how these felt. 😃 Back to my high school roots again when all I mainly did was dumbbell presses. 🙌

Anything I can pick up off the ground feel so amazing! • Again, we are training heavy because we want to preserve as much muscle as possible. I know I am because I am getting stronger and dropping the number on the scale. • The workout: 1️⃣ DEFICIT DEADLIFT: 4 sets of 3 reps 2️⃣ RACK PULL: 3 sets of 5 reps 3️⃣ CHIN-UP: 3 sets of 12 reps (if you can't reach 12, do as many as you can.) • Deficit deadlifts are named so because I am standing on an elevated plain so I have to bend down further to grab the bar. That also means I have to move it over a greater distance. They are just as good, if not better than normal deadlifts. • Rack pull is the lockout portion of a deadlift and great for training the traps, grip strength, and upper back. Most people can't lockout properly which is why they should do rack pulls. Generally you can move more weight here. • Chin ups are easy, I shouldn't have to explain further 😁. • After this my grip strength was completely gone... and my hands were f***ed 😂 LOL but I loved it.
