Chile, you just gots tuh FIGURE IT OUT.
One morning I woke up and was scheduled to post a YouTube video the next day.
But I had nothing recorded.
That day, I had a few errands to run and a meeting, so I decided to vlog.
My “YouTube strategy” was to upload informational videos: seated in front of my cute lil office background – hoping that people found enough value to book a consultation.
And up until then, the strategy was working.
I was growing about 100-200 subscribers per week.
Consultations here and there.
But once I posted the Day in the Life vlog… my channel began to TAKE OFF.
Strategy will only get you so far if you are too scared to TRY new things on your own.
Release yourself from the idea of doing it right the first time.
Release yourself from only trying what the gurus say *works.
You can watch 1,000 YouTube videos.
Make the perfect sales funnel.
Have the dopest Instagram feed.
Sell the best Amazon product.
Have top of the line equipment.
Purchase 1,000 courses.
But guess what?
Certain strategies simply might not work for you.
A large part of building your own business, brand, product, etc. is filling a gap that HASN’T been filled.
And a big reality check that I’m facing is – you HAVE to do things your OWN way.
We rely too heavily on the status quo and way too heavily on perfection.
Yes, learning from others is very important.
Always be learning, y’all.
BUT, also learn by experimenting. Put your own swag on it.
Strategy is certainly useful. But don’t be a slave to it.
Start finding joy in figuring out things without knowing what the result *could* be.
My Day in the Life Vlogs are a staple now. In fact, a new one is up now! LOL (shameless plug)
Is your strategy holding you hostage? What’s preventing you from experimenting with your content?
