I’m trying to find the wonderful of moments without them being ultimately eventful. When we look back at our lives oftentimes what sticks out is precious moments, maybe a graduation, a vacation, something big that took over the moment of our lives, but what if we took that same excitement into everyday of our lives? Or maybe not everyday, but most days? Yesterday I tried to see my home city as if I was a tourist, someone new walking the avenues, with different perspectives. I came across this guide and he said something that stuck with me, he asked our opinions and said there aren’t any wrong answers, you can say you like something you can say you dislike something but the minute you say you don’t care, that’s when you’ve lost me. Having an opinion speaks monumental rather than not caring at all, or ignoring the issue, or simply remaining silent. A lot of us need to use our voices more, because we matter and being silent will get us nowhere. I also appreciated he didn’t say anything about that particular tower on the Chicago River with the rude lettering on it. Also google Jeanne Gang, that woman is changing Chicago architecturally and is amazing, she deserves all the praise and none of us even stop think about something so simple as to who designs our surroundings, anyway let’s try to be more away today, tomorrow, maybe most days. Sending love to wherever you may be, x.
