Making a big sale is cool, but it’s not my favorite feeling.
Seeing new inquiries in my inbox is fun, but it’s not my favorite feeling.
My favorite feeling is being truly, completely myself, every day.
Getting on stories, makeup free, and dancing around to whatever song I’m loving most at the moment.
Sharing about the political views I hold closest to my heart.
Making typos in posts, and instead of stressing or feeling shame, screenshotting, posting, and joking about it, because my tendency to space out on details is ALSO part of my magic.
It’s following my random ideas, cracking my sassiest jokes, sharing my strangest obsessions, and having no piece of myself that’s off limits from my business.
It feels SO good, knowing that I don’t have to convince anyone I’m something I’m not to make money.
It feels great, knowing that I’m so fully in the center of my purpose that even admin work, marketing, and content creation gets to be filled with passion and fun.
It’s a feeling that a lot of people never feel in their business (or, let’s be honest, their lives).
Because we’re not trained to trust ourselves this much, so that no matter what your heart wants to say or do, you say “yes” to it without doubt.
We’re not taught that it’s okay to love ourselves this much, so that we can show ourselves, completely, without qualification, to the world, fully believing that we deserve to be seen.
In our career, in relationships, in how we dress and speak, the norm is to play a game, pushing forward some parts of our personality while hiding others, spending time and energy striving to be the type of person that’s worthy of love, money, and happiness.
So, most of us miss out on my favorite feeling.
The joy of self-expression is something I’d wish on every human alive…DEFINITELY on every business owner.
Because the biggest sales feel hollow when you have to pretend to be someone you’re not to make them.
Today, give yourself permission to fully express. It’s worth it.
And, since it’s often not that simple, if you’re tired of all that and are ready to create a business and life that’s big enough for all of you, let me help.
