KNOW THE DRIVER 🧠| Sound on👂 Cross crawl patterns are used often in practice to rehabilitate patterns common to tasks of daily living such as walking 🚶‍♂️ We often focus on what muscles are involved, understanding the fascial sling relationships and the biomechanics of the movement which is very cool when you can link it all together. More recently in practice the focus has evolved to incorporate and understanding of the neurological processes we have influence over as practitioners. Grateful to the team @fnor_rehab  For making the complexity of the nervous system so easily adaptable to our existing skill set. In this example the understanding the cerebellum plays a role: 🧠sensory motor integration, 🧠emotion, 🧠habit formation 🧠cognition, and even 🧠assisting to build our perception of ourselves within our environment. Therefore Motor control starts with Sensory integration. Therefore we can add sensory inputs to drive a desired motor outcome. As the cerebellum responds to externally drivers, the use of the metronome provides this input assisting the process to relearn motor control. What to Know Before Starting Crossfit - If you’re interested in working out and getting in shape, you may have heard about Crossfit, the recent exercise craze that has helped many people achieve great results. Almost a year ago from today - I was preparing for my first ever national appearance. Having self prepped for every competition leading up to this, @crobinson2012  and I realized I owed it to myself to seek out the advice of someone knowledgeable with experience at the higher levels to give myself the best shot possible . . I sought out @tbp_official  Amanda and Dave roughly 2 weeks out last time from the NPC Universe and the tips and tricks provided helped take my package to what I thought was a whole new level back then. Being my first national showing, there was work to be done and Dave, Amanda and I set together a game plan which @crobinson2012  and I worked diligently to execute everyday for the last year through progress season into this current prep . . 3 weeks out from the same national show, I can say what I thought was a new level back then is nothing compared to what we’ve been able to achieve and what #teambreed  will bring this year will be something undeniable!

"Absent Deadlift" I can't seem to break the 400 mark. I can't get that deadlift PR. All the while 20 yr olds in the gym and YouTube flex on me and deadlift 500...super frustrating night.... I've made progress though over the year. That's what matters. I feel off for awhile in the deadlift due to an injury last Feb. Injuries can really set you back...almost feels like starting from zero all over again. That's why it's always important to be mindful of your posture, your limits, and listen to your body to prevent injuries. Over the past few months I've been using 35lb plates instead of 45s. The smaller diameter plates create a deficit. To add on that I also stand on plates to create an even bigger challenge. As always the strain of deadlifting on the body always be mindful of your posture through the whole motion of the lift. Please show your support!! Tag a friend.
