🥑Food Gratitude! 🙏🏼🍲 After many years of waving my vegan/vegetarian flag, I am happy to state that I am now omnivorous which means that I eat a bit of everything, although I still mostly prefer plant based meals.
Food choices have been a long moral dilemma of mine especially after studying permaculture and nutrition.
I’ve discovered that i am healthier now that I’ve incorporated more animal based proteins into my diet rather than when I was vegan yet, malnourished and consuming high quantities of grains and other items that were not so great for my constitution.
It’s a personal choice to be vegetarian or not and i honour and respect everyone for the diets they choose for themselves.
My personal choice is to focus on consuming high quality, local, organic, ethically sourced WHOLE FOODS, no matter what they are instead of wasting energy trying to fit myself into some category.
Most importantly, whatever you eat, be grateful! When you sit down to your next meal, before you scarf it down, take a moment to acknowledge all the beautiful elements that have sacrificed themselves to be on your plate.
Whether it’s a plant or an animal, it was once alive and it’s now chosen to be part of the cycle of life by feeding us! How amazing is that?! Featured here:

THANK YOU FOOD!!!
