Darla’s first portrait is finished. Commission for a lovely couple in the USA 🇺🇸. 17x24” / 40x60cm. I worked on this portrait a month ago and I’m finally able to share it with all of you!.
From my client’s words “Darla was a perfect blend of spirit, beauty, and intelligence. She was all business, all the time. She was a no-fears kind of girl and a ready hunter, but at the same time, she was well-mannered, warm-hearted, and so devoted to her human parents. Darla was always so kind and forgiving of her brother, Elroy, who was her constant companion for 16 years. Given that Darla loved to eat, she was our constant companion. If she heard a noise in the kitchen or got a whiff of something cooking, she was by our side, but that was Darla. Those little eyes followed every bite you took. That, too, is what's hard to accept about her passing, as no more is our sweet little Darla around with her constant companionship. No more will we get to see those bright eyes and raised brows as she watches you when you walk into a room or see her excitement when you return home for the day. We were all broken the day she passed, but she has forever made an imprint on all of us”
