Shaka Zulu 💷 ~ ££ - £££
📖 ~ South African
🍽 ~ 6.5/10 This restaurant has a small but very wacky menu from crocodile to zebra dishes. I may be more adventurous on my next visit. I started with the peri peri wings which were more on the salty side than flavoursome. The Sirloin steak was too well overdone despite asking for medium-well making it very difficult to chew. The ribs, beef samosas and the mac and cheese were all rated as average. The desert however was really nice we had the passion fruit cheesecake.
🏠 ~ Chalk Farm Road - Camden 📸 ~. The dimmed lighting made it quite difficult to get photos but with the help of flash there is an opportunity to get some nice photos.
✨ ~ Exotic interior, definitely a place like no other, this underground restaurant is very unique from the lighting and neon escalator, the decor is inspired by its South African nature and gives off mysterious vibes. The interior is definitely 10/10.
🍹 ~ 6/10 The madiba cocktail was average, it tasted very orange like due to the garnish and was nothing spectacular.
👩🏽🍳🤵🏻 ~ 5/10 We we’re continuously prompted to make our order and wasn’t really given enough time to decide. Our waiter could have been more patient.
✅ ~ 7/10 I would like to try here again as my first experience wasn’t enough to go by and my visit wasn’t fully fulfilled.
💭 ~ Free club entry after your meal. ID is required. Friday night is a really good night to go. Some of the options are very pricey so I’d suggest looking at the menu before visiting or at least expect to spend a fair amount of money. Also it is a requirement to order a minimum of two courses. #food #foodie #foodporn #foodblog #foodblogger #foodphotography #foodgasm #foodography #foodtography #foodstagram #foodlover #foodpic #london #beef #ribs #steak #wings #grill #salad #chips #samosa #eat #eastlondon #bloomsbury #Shakazulu #finedining #meal #thefoodianldn
