One of the favorite activities of the Russians in the summer months and in September is to pick mushrooms and berries in the forest 🌳 ⠀
For Russians – mushroom picking is a skill that we master since childhood👶🏻 I think any Russian can distinguish at least 🔟edible mushrooms in the forest 🌲
In our forests there are hundreds of species of edible mushrooms that can be salted, pickled or dried for the winter ❄️, or they can be prepared immediately after picking🥣
Now picking mushrooms is just a fun pastime with the family, but literally a hundred years ago mushrooms were a very important part of the diet of people that helped to survive. There are many recipes of hearty mushroom dishes that can be eaten during lent🤓
Do people in your country pick mushrooms in the forest? 🍄
Tree top Zipline. I took my kids on a lot of different adventures over that weekend. Evey kid had a different fear in a different area... Which I totally planned.
So as we watched the videos and photos. I could see the look of regret on them from whatever area they didn't participate in. Which I also planned.
Fear is followed by regret. Regret is followed my preparing. Preparing is followed by conquering.
Fear is also followed by curling up in a ball and not doing a dam thing about it. It's our jobs as parents to make sure that is not an option.
