Monday Musings ✨🌱
4 lessons we should learn from 4 year olds 💚
1 - Don’t let your emotions bottle up 🙅🏼♀️ Ever noticed how stress free toddlers are? Ok so they might not have work, bills and a mortgage which helps 🤣 A 4 year old gets angry, they let it out, they scream, they cry, they throw themselves around on the floor, have a cry and not too long after they’re skipping around like nothing ever happened. They don’t bottle up their feelings. Now as adults we know we can’t just throw a tantrum whenever we’d like, but let’s not just sweep feelings under the rug. The pile will go so big your bound to trip over it eventually and hurt yourself. Write in a journal, speak to someone, meditate, release the feelings that don’t serve you in a positive way 🥰
2 - Live in the moment 💃🏼 Tomorrow isn’t promised. Dance, sing, laugh, play games, make new friends, find the fun in every day. 4 year olds aren’t concerned with tomorrow (unless it’s the day before Christmas 🎄). They live in the now. They just want to have as much fun as they can and squeeze as much as they can into every day.
3 - Wear what you want 👑🧚🏼♀️
Princess dress with gumboots, fairy wings, fluffy bunny tails, ball gowns to the supermarket and high heels to mow the lawn 👠 You do you! Wear what makes you feel good. Because that’s what life should be about feeling good and making others feel good 🙌🏼
4 - Dream big 💭🌙
When you were 4 what did you want to do or be? Princess? Fairy? Firefighter? To work at a Zoo? Teacher? To live in a castle? Marry a prince? To love in a tree house? I bet you didn’t dream of spending 8 hours a day doing a job you despised 🤷🏼♀️ Continue to dream big, to remember to live in the now but have something to work towards. Time will pass alway, aim for the moon, the stars and beyond ✨🌙
