If I could offer some of the most important advice that will make all the difference in your fitness journey, it would be: ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ Don’t expect massive change overnight. Set yourself up with a program that will bring you a lifetime of success rather than endless yo-yo’s, rebounds, and extremes. ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ Be patient. Be compassionate toward your body & appreciate it for everything it does for you. Show yourself love and grace everyday. ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ Positively affirm that you are WORTH living as your healthiest, happiest, most confident self. ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ Take it one day at a time. ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ Celebrate your small successes along the way. They add up to the big ones. ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ Ditch the idea of perfection or that progress is linear. There WILL be bumps in the roads. There will be days, weeks where you think you’re making no progress at all. THIS is when it’s most important to stay consistent. Happy Sunday 💪 Today is the time to Review your training this past week and see what you need to do to refine your training moving forward. 👊🏼 What Happens If You Skip Rest Days? 1. Poor Quality Sleep Train well, and your sleeping patterns will improve. Overtrain, however, and it can have the opposite effect. 2. More Likelihood Of Injury As we explained in the previous point, tired minds and bodies tend to be more open to injury. 3. Depression And Self-criticism When you get a tremendous buzz from working out, you can miss it on rest days. But the trouble is, your low mood could turn into a depression or self-critical thinking if you do a workout, and start overtraining. 4. Less Efficient Immune System People that overtrain often complain that they can’t shake illnesses such as colds, coughs, and the flu. And it’s no surprise. Your muscles need time to recover from workouts and hardcore exercise – and so does your immune system. 5. Lose Motivation Finally, if you overwork your body, you will end up not being able to perform in your exercise routines. Eventually, your workouts will lack impact, and you will find yourself losing motivation because you just aren’t making progress. Hey guys! Its Monday and I’m wondering what to write about today but I’m literally blank! So I’m just going to write about how Ive been feeling. To be honest I haven’t been good lately! My anxiety and depression has been almost unbearable to cope with. It’s been difficult to wake up and be positive lately. Every day feels like I’m drowning and I’m fighting and fighting to stay afloat. Putting on a fake smile, Pretending it’s okay and it’s not and you can’t even begin to explain why. If you have followed my page for a while and read any of my previous posts you will know that I am a personal trainer for any personal goals but I especially reach out to help those that suffer with stress, anxiety and depression because I also suffer. I show how exercise helped me and can make you feel so free by letting it all go in the right way. I also help others by sharing my posts and my journey on my page here. The people that relate and reach out to me tell me they have suffered in silence for so long - like I used to and sometimes I still do until I snap myself out of it. It breaks my heart because it is the worst feeling in the world. Feeling lost and alone in the world. I have actually been reading my own previous posts for motivation and to find my positivity. I don’t want to pretend today. So my motivation today is no matter how S**T things are don’t stop fighting, don’t give up, stay with me because I’m not giving up either. That’s exactly what I am doing this week! After a tough emotional month I haven’t been consistent in anything, I have made bad food choices and I know I haven’t been drinking enough water. Why did you want it? 2️⃣ Set yourself small goals to achieve every day or every week so it keeps you motivated and focused on the big end goal! This also stops it from seeming like the end goal is far out of sight. 3️⃣ The biggest! Know that no one is perfect! We are human, we make mistakes, we fall off track, life happens - ITS NORMAL! Even people you would look at and think they are perfect in every way, they are not because no one is and everyone struggles at some point with something. So believe in yourself, celebrate your progress and achievements. Good changes take time! Enjoy your journey. ————————————————————
