#happyindependenceday to Afghans all around the world. We are a nation that is going through so much and yet we stand yet we fight back. This year has been special for one reason this year we are one century old as a sovereign nation. So I decided to reach to at least 500 Afghans via @learn.afg to celebrate this sovereignty with them by sharing skills, providing workshops on WASH, menstrual hygiene management, digital literacy, and E-LEARNING.
Both of the programs were dedicated to the resilient heroines of Afghanistan
Project Soraya is dedicated to Queen Soraya for her brilliant work in education and women rights. We reached out to 300 students 200 of them being female and 100 male. 300 students are enrolled in our e-learning program sponsored by @rumieinitiative.
Project Malalai is dedicated to the Brave Malalai of Maiwand. Her brave and courageous role at the battle of Maiwand teaches us resilience and fight for sovereignty and rights for women. We provided workshop to 200 girls for MHM and WASH via @learn.afg
As an Afghan woman who was raised in rural areas I pay tribute to all the women in my life who have made me believe in freedom of expression and rights and the fight for it.Our independence means freedom.I hope this start of the new century brings in peace and freedom to every Afghan. 🇦🇫 I thank my team who helped me in making this possible Miss Hela Baha, Edriss Mansoor,Madina Fazli and Mohib Faizy. I also want to thank our partners who welcomed us and helped make this happen in rural and conflict zones of Afghanistan. Our sponsor @rumieinitiative , Wesa Academy,Roshan Academy and Malalai University.
