What a journey this past 12 months have been!!! Oh my gosh!!! I feel like I have trialled so many different things and have learnt so much. But as we all know the learning never stops. There have been some major ups and some major downs. My head has been so cluttered and have put so much pressure on myself to do things a certain way and have held myself back from fears of -not being heard -not being a positive influence -not being someone that can make a difference These beliefs have been with me my whole life and I shut my voice down for a really long time. I am learning to share what is on my HEART more and more, instead of saying things I think people want to hear. Sometimes I speak things that cause a stir. Sometimes I speak things that people don’t like or want to hear. Sometimes I speak things that resonate and inspire. Regardless, I need to stop being afraid and overthinking how I am being perceived. I am learning so much. I am making mistakes. I am learning to own those mistakes and not run away from them like I have done so much in the past. It’s time!!! It’s time to take it to a new level and put something into action that has been on my heart for so long. I am starting a podcast. This will be about health first and foremost, because that’s what I live for. But it will be done in a completely holistic manner addressing everything, the good and the bad, the conventional and unconventional. I am excited to collaborate with a number of experts and individuals who will bring so much value to this to share their wisdom, knowledge, experience and expertise. I am all about learning and sharing this journey with others. I am so excited, regardless of where this takes me ♥️♥️♥️

Wanna be successful with your diet and/or fitness goals? Ignore the extremes! We see it everywhere on social media. There are many people who would have you believe you need to cut out food groups to lose body fat. You don’t. Push Day!😁💪🏻 A push day consists of pushing movements that trains the chest, triceps, and shoulders because all of the exercises in this workout activate all three of these muscle groups. Here are the chest exercises I do in my push workout. When doing an incline and flat chest press, whether it is with dumbells or with the barbell, it is important to do proper form. You want to shrug your shoulders all the way back before you press to get the full stretch of your chest to recruit more of your pectoral muscle fibers. This will also lead to less activation of your front deltoids (shoulders), so you can work your chest as much as possible. In order to build muscle and promote muscle hypertrophy, the optimal rep range is between 8 to 12 reps. In this workout, I perform all my sets with 8 to 12 reps to promote as much muscle activation and stimulation as possible. Remember, it is not about how heavy you lift, it is about getting as much of a stretch as possible and recruiting as many muscle fibers of your target muscle as possible to tear the muscle which is the precursor to muscle growth. If you use heavy weight, you wont be able to perform as many reps, your form may not be proper and you wont be able to stimulate the muscle properly and chances are you might hurt yourself.
