Dust is not as fun as snow. But children do not know that - least of all those who live on the sun-beaten borders of the Serengeti in Tanzania. To them, the cloying, thick dust storm that swept in one afternoon was an opportunity for play. They popped in and out of the thick clouds and chased each other into the orange mist. Soon, though, their eyes felt itchy, their skin sore, breathing became difficult. There will be more dust storms in the Serengeti next year. And soon the children will know it too: dust is not as fun as snow. Seed by @aaronforinton. Image by @jeremysnell.
