I have never found the need to properly warm up until I got older. Kids, if you’re reading this, please warm up, youth don’t last forever. The rest of us, please warm up, straining a muscle hurts and recovery takes forever! Before I even hop into this little circuit, I’ll use my speed rope, link in bio, for about five to ten minutes. This really helps bring that mind-body connection full circle, otherwise you’ll whip yourself with the rope. After getting some blood pumping with the speed rope, I go right into this circuit. Starting in a push up position, we perform a half lunge, then a leg sweep with the opposite foot. When you pull back the foot, you’re going to hop into a mini child’s pose, and from here repeat the same process on the other side. When you feel comfortable, return to a push up position. From here, you’re going to do a push up, then with one hand reach back and touch your opposite foot. You’re doing an improvised version of downward dog. After this movement, walk your hands towards yourself and sit into a ball position. From here, leave your finger tips at the top of your shoe then rise with your hips. If you can’t straighten your legs, no worries! Take your time, mobilize! For each circuit, you can perform as many reps as you feel necessary to get your mobility going! Hope you guys dig this one, I was really debating on keeping this exclusive to my online coaching clients, but you guys deserve the best!
