I just had an awesome conversation with my husband over lunch and this is one of the many productive things we discussed. One of my big goals is to buy a private island because I’m an introvert who loves being near water. I can clearly see myself waking up to the sound of waves washing ashore, praying and working on the beach, and inviting family and friends to a peaceful getaway destination. When I first told my husband, his response was something like, “Do you know how expensive that is?” My response was something like, “If I want it, I will make a plan and get it.” I’ve never been one to say that I can’t do something because I know that I can do anything I put my mind to even it takes longer than I would like it to. I don’t limit my dreams or visions based on my current circumstances or bank account balance. I figure out what I need to do to improve my circumstances and increase my income to get what I want. Seeing how serious I am, my husband has now taken my dream on as his own. We look at private islands for sale together and he even started investing in stock to bring in additional income. If you have a grand vision for your life, don’t suppress it or convince yourself that you can’t have it. Instead, ask yourself what you can do, change, or improve to make it happen. The time is going to pass anyway. The difference between your present and your future is what you choose to do in the meantime. The hardest step to getting what you want is the first one and that’s believing with your whole heart that you can have greater and do better. The second hardest step is taking action in the direction of your goals. If you are willing to take those steps consistently, you will inevitably win. I believe in you like I believe in me, sis. If you need someone to share your big dreams with and empowerment, encouragement, and guidance to bring your visions to life, let’s talk.
