The Titicaca Lake in the Andes is the largest lake in South America and located on the border of Peru & Bolivia 💦
There are several islands on the lake. Some of them are natural and others manmade like the floating islands of the Uros which are completely made out of reed. The Uros - which are the native people living on these special islands - have to continuously add new layers of reed on the ground to prevent their home from sinking. 🌾 It was definitely one of the most special places we ever stayed at ☺️
I feel like there’s this stigma that doing ‘touristy’ things in your own city isn’t cool. Then I think about what I would tell someone to do if they were visiting NYC & straight up shame myself for procrastinating on some of the items. The truth is that exploring in any capacity & experiencing things IS cool in my book! So go out & play tourist in your backyard! Those are the memories that stick with us & distinguish themselves from the day to day. #CozyTraveler
Spending quality time with loved one's brings a glow on your face like no one other.
These 2days bonding with my mother has given me more strength love and direction to think and perceive things differently.
