Validation is for parking ✔️ I read this recently and it struck a chord, so, I spent some time processing what it meant. 💡 What initially felt like a pretty basic statement turned out to be a brilliant analogy. I hear the word validation fairly often and can easily relate to my own personal feelings regarding the concept. — It’s so easy to get caught up in the trap of an upside down perspective where validation seeking is concerned. If no one validates your feelings are they invalid? If we don’t receive a preconceived level of external validation around an accomplishment does it become less valid? — Absolutely not. Although it’s nice to have cheerleaders, people who support us, recognition, braggers, fans or simply someone to say great job, you’re awesome or that’s huge. Our accomplishments and feelings are no less valid without it. — As I’ve gone through life I realize that what matters is how I feel about my feelings, achievements, needs and expectations. Sometimes there will be validation if I rely on that to come externally but there will ALWAYS be validation if I do that for myself. Be your own champion. Take pride in your hard work and accomplishments. I often get a lot of questions about meditation. Where to start? How to start? Today, I finally gathered some courage to post a time lapse of my entire Kriya + Shambhavi Mahamudra that I offer everyday which lasts for about 35 minutes. Meditation is a very private affair & it cannot be taught. It has to be experienced & learnt. It’s majorly self taught through one’s own consciousness. I prefer to do my meditation in the mornings, but on days I’m boggled down with a lot of work or travel, I do it at night. I cannot really talk about the technique, because one has to be initiated by a Guru but I can definitely talk about the benefits I derived from doing this. Each one to his own. I have tried many different types of meditation before finally going by the Isha Inner Engineering course. I am not marketing any type of mediation or religion here, please don’t misunderstand me. This meditation routine worked for me because I realised a lot of stuff in the universe is based on the understanding of ‘Inner science’, which many different learned scientists have orated at different times. Like they say, you either travel and learn about the entire universe or stay where you are and download the entire universe through your body & soul. Sadhguru definitely did an amazing job at curating the best courses on inner science. He has carved a path towards attaining peace for people undergoing a hell lot of stress (mainly the ones living in cities) & many people who followed his path have immensely benefitted from his courses too. The courses offered in his school are easy to understand and follow which make them applicable in real life. The best part is that this kind of meditation worked really well on my breathing pattern too, I can literally execute full control on my breath in every situation. Even during a deadly HIIT session or when I made it to the Mt Fuji summit. I believe breathing is the start and end to everything. Come what may, I take out 40 minutes for myself everyday, to dwell in my thoughts and to understand myself better and it’s my high, my healing. It really really keeps me sane & helps me set my priorities with mental stability. 😇

I have some answers you’ve been searching for. • Do you feel hopeless? Do you feel worthless? Do you struggle to get out of bed? Are you always anxious and unsure of yourself? • There is a solution and that is your steering wheel! • Your steering wheel is essentially the control you have of your life. • • I will get into it in this Episode of Mental Fitness IGTV Show. • • • Since starting #75Hard  program developed by @andyfrisella  , I have even come to realize more how I have so much more control of my life because I am at the control of the steering wheel. • In all honesty, you probably do not need my program, if you do this program, you’ll gain what you need to take control of your life. But the program is not easy and for those who are depressed and anxious (as I was), it will be hard to do unless you first change your perspective and gain some new insight. • I guess that is part of what my program does. Regardless, you have to do something different to change. • I keep going back and forth with my program and modifying it but right now I do not want to coddle people. I find positive reinforcement is bullshit. We have to face our selves and our current situations head on. We can’t pussyfoot around our program and be concerned we might get ‘triggered’. That is the point. You have to get ‘triggered’ to grow. • I posted earlier about “less is more”. That is how you adapt. You get a certain stimulus and then change happens. You do not need so much input to illicit a change. That trigger is the only thing you need for your growth. • • A friend triggered me last year and told me “I sound weak”. As a man I took that in, got triggered and said fuck this, I’m never looking weak to anybody ever again and that spark that changed man you see today. • • A man whose confident in himself. • A man who does not attach himself to any identity as he understand that is ego. • A man who is proud of himself. • I want you to know this can be you too. First time teaching outside of HK yesterday!!! Was in Shenzhen, leading a mindfulness session for university students- they are curious, open and absorbed into the practice very quickly. First time teaching in my half-baked Mandarin 😬 It matches a challenge I set for myself lately: to go beyond comfort zone, do something unfamiliar and grow. Here I am. In the same sweat pants I have worn pretty much all week. Chugging my daily superfoods shake that gives me all of the nutrients I miss in my daily diet. Feeling strong. Feeling powerful. Most importantly, not giving into the silly social media trends. I refuse to transform myself into someone I'm not. I refuse to put on loads of makeup and nice clothes just to take a picture. I refuse to buy materialistic, fun, items just to supply myself with a MOMENT of happiness. Been there done that. I've come to terms with all of that. See, working on social media, I see a lot of women trying to pose a certain way, spend loads of money on cosmetic items, buy a ton of clothing. That's all fine and dandy but I have come to terms with silly spending. It won't get me closer to who I want to be. Yes, those sandals are cute but will they help my anxiety? No. Yes, I would love to go get my nails done every 2 weeks but will that help my depression? No. That skinny body wrap, will that help me fight off more diseases that may come later in life? Absolutely not. Those fat pills say they will help me be skinny, maybe I should keep buying them. You can if you want girl, but what are you really focusing on? Are you working on being a better you or are you drowning yourself with temporary fixes? Are you creating your own path or are you letting others truly dictate your life? Ever since I started my journey, I refuse to let other tell me who I am and what I am capable of. I'm free. 🕊 How about you?

Sometimes I wish I could be #manic  all the time but there is a price to pay for all the energy one exerts. I went to the gym and after doing leg presses, plyometrics, lunges, and everything else under the sun, I am still hyper. I was about to complain about it but honestly, there could be worse problems.
