3 Elements for creating lasting healthy lifestyle change!! In our world today we like things to be broken down for us.
A set or series of things or steps we can take to do something.
So if you want to create change in any area of your life, be it your health, your fitness, your career, your family, your finances, there are three elements that you must have.
The first is Mindset.
Without this, the others will not matter. They are all important parts to the process. But, without first working on what goes on in the 6 inches in between your ears, you will simply be spinning your wheels. It has to start with your mindset and how you view yourself.
I have worked with hundreds, if not thousands of people wanting so badly to “lose weight,” and who did, but ultimately put it it right back on. That happens because they haven’t changed the image they in their head of who they are.
This is an important step that can not be skipped, cut short, or avoided. It the foundation for which everything else is built.
Next comes Action.
You can psyche yourself up, pump up yourself, speak all sorts of affirmations and positive thoughts, but thought without actions are intentions.
And there are a ton of well intentioned people who never take the next step in the process, and that is action.
We live in a world of taking “massive action” & “hustle,” but when it comes to LASTING CHANGE, the best path is to start small, gain momentum and build confidence and trust that it is possible.
Once the steps have been taken and momentum is building, then Consistency must be developed.
This is key.
One of the favorite things I tell myself and clients alike is, “if you do things once in a while, you’ll get once in a while results.” Consistency creates continuity, and continuity is what lasting change is all about.
