If you are squeamish DO NOT SWIPE ALL THE WAY! You have been warned 😬🚫🙈
... I had an amazing time trying lots of tasty, unique and downright weird foods during our food tour of Marrakech.
Some of the highlights include moreish fresh Moroccan doughnuts that were dipped in a delicious orange blossom honey, juicy kebab patties made out of ground sardines eaten with a preserved butter called smen, and Bebouch or snail soup, a common street food loved by locals and eaten by plucking the snails from their shells with a toothpick and drinking the snail broth from another bowl. To my surprise (and relief!) it tasted very nice!
However, the standout highlight has got to be eating a goat's head that had been cooked for five hours in a traditional underground oven. Although not the best looking of dishes(!) it was unbelievably tender and really melted in the mouth. I especially enjoyed eating the tongue! 😮😁 Thanks to @marrakechfoodtours for such an incredible experience! I definitely recommend the tour if you are in Marrakech and want to experience some genuine local culinary delights ❤️🇲🇦
