✨How to prepare for PA school ✨
Congrats to everyone who has been accepted to school and is starting soon! I still remember when I was about to start school, feels like it was just yesterday. Time flies, can’t believe I graduate in a few months!
So what can you do to feel ready?
1️⃣ Go over program material. That means finding out about financial aid, what materials to purchase, etc. If you can, speak to someone in the class above you on what is necessary to buy. A lot of textbooks you can find online as pdf files, so try to save your money on that!
2️⃣ Purchase what you will be using for note taking, whether that is a laptop, ipad, or notebook. Download any apps to keep yourself organized like planner pro, notability, good notes, etc.
3️⃣ Find out what your dress code is, go shopping if you need more options. Our school was business casual for 4 days, scrubs for the other day. I had to purchase more business casual clothes and shoes.
4️⃣ Find out where you will be living. Settle in a few weeks in advanced so you are not worried about this when school starts.
5️⃣ Hangout with some of your classmates prior if you can, so you feel comfortable on your first day.
6️⃣ Develop a routine. Whether it is Meal prepping, workout schedules, or anything else. It is hard to start doing this when you are already extremely busy, but if you have always been doing this, you’ll make time for it. I wish I did this in retrospect. My routine was just taking naps right after school 😂. I had to cut this out eventually so I would be more productive. But if I need a nap I take one. ————-
