In honor of Pitbull Awareness Month and little Luke Bryan's upcoming surgery, we're rolling out our latest shirt campaign! Please have a look and get yourself and awesome Tee or Hoodie!
For those who haven't had the pleasure of meeting him, this latest shirt is sporting our very own RPAW alumni/unadoptable misfit, Tike!
Tike's story began the summer of 2012 when he was slated for euthanasia at a local animal control simply for being a pitbull. He had many people commenting on his post on the impound facilities page that they would love to adopt him. So, moments before he was to be taken for his last walk through the building, RPAW stepped in and saved the day. We were told he was a goofy, happy go lucky 9 month old pup that needed to work on manners. No problem we thought. Hahaha boy were we wrong :) Tike had zero social skills when he came to us, could not walk on a leash, wanted to eat every cat in sight, barked non stop, and nipped when you touched him. His foster home worked with him for months and got him almost to a normal dog but still he would need a very special, highly experienced owner. After 3 years his foster family decided that it had been long enough and no one had come to adopt him that could manage his 'issues'. So he is now a permanent resident. He resides happily with his 2 human babies, his much larger canine sister, and a never ending flow of foster dogs and cats. Its not easy but his people know what he needs to succeed.
He'd love help saving more of his kind and your purchase helps RPAW be able to do just that!
