Kenny Phillips Jr. or as we like to call him K2. Yesterday winning the MVP after a great win for him and his teammates at the I-9 event. K2 plays with an older group of kids but you honestly couldn't tell with his skill set. It's extremely difficult to get near his flag with all of his speed and elusiveness. |
Yet the best part of the whole event wasn't even the game itself, it was that none of the kids really cared about who won or lost, because right after the game with so much energy left over all they did was tackle each other and wrestle the whole time. While the next group of kids were playing on the field. Even some of the kids that were playing at the time joined in. Showing an example that even after a battle, it's ok to be friends and enjoy life.
We can learn a lot from the youth, just as much as we like to teach them. They can definitely remind us that the core value in life is love and appreciation for next man. No one cared about anything else outside of enjoying the company of a common friend. No racism, no hate, no judgement. Just pure joy about life. We should all mimic these actions our kids displayed, so that we can enjoy the company of each other as well. I want to say thank you to all the kids at @i9_sports in miramar. You all are true champions.
