There’s a lot of pressure on males to be tough, to be able to deal with emotions quickly and without much fuss. To be unaffected by things and just carry on.
Recently @krosepeacock and I suffered a miscarriage. I never realised just how much that can hurt. Kirsten took the biggest hit, having to deal with both physical and emotional loss. But I can't begin to explain how hard it was for me too.
It was hard enough dealing with loosing our baby, but to see Kirsten having to go through all the physical pain too and not be able to do anything to help was doubly heart-breaking.
Don't get me wrong I'm not looking for sympathy, I would just like to say, Men, its ok to feel. Its ok to hurt. Ok to cry, to care, to love, to loose and not be ok about it. Its been weeks since our loss, yet I still come to tears when I think about it. And that’s ok. Grieve, work through things, let them shape you, but in a positive way. Don’t bottle it up, don’t push it down. Talk to someone, grow, and be a better stronger person for it. .
