I certainly always have phases in my yoga and workout practices. There are times where I practice a ton of Ashtanga Yoga or a ton of other forms of Hatha Yoga. Sometimes (but especially weather related) I run a lot, sometimes I do a lot of Hiit's and a balance of weight training and Yoga. This time again, I have a strong phase practicing Kundalini Yoga. And why not change up your practice? As long as you keep moving, learning and growing. I prefer the flexibility of my own practice, to stay on fire for it. I admire people that are happy to practice only one style, maybe one series of asanas. It is a good thing to practice one series for longer periods of time. But if you get to the point of not being excited about your practice, change it up ...and maybe come back to your original practice after a while again. This is true as much as for my yoga and exercise regimen as much as my meditation and prayer life. As I move through the seasons of nature and of my life, things all around me change...so does my practice. One thing though never changes: my focus on God, my relationship with God, seeking the will of God, growing in my faith, love and all other virtues. God is stable, unchanging...like a rock that everything about my life is directed towards Him. He is my stability, my energy source, my help and goal. Let His will be done- always!
