JIGDUP SHOAL | MAHINOG, CAMIGUIN
We’ve known Camiguin as “The Island Born of Fire.” We’ve probably also seen already its inland attractions - white sand island beaches, waterfalls, cold and hot springs, mountains and even its heritage. What not everyone knows is the treasure trove that rests beneath its surface.
There are more than 12 known dive spots around the island, mostly reef, walls and coral gardens that serve as abode to variety of marine species including sharks, mantas, turtles and other pelagics.
There’s an ongoing Camiguin Dive Festival today that runs until August in an effort to make Camiguin the diving capital of Mindanao. You’ll get to participate in the underwater photography contests and avail of discount on fun dives and lesson from participating dive shops if you register for free.
Another reason to come again, Camiguin!
