Two characters (from two different campaign settings) that I made for Erin!
It was great working with this particular client, had a lot of fun making the characters and the amount of material provided by the client was very appreciated and motivating!
While I got some sketches for Nikolai, Calen had previously never been put on paper, so it was an extra honor to bring him to life for the first time.
Ranger Horizon Walker
A fella that has been through a lot over the clients games over the past 3 years:
Raised by a poacher, fought for the resistance against an empire, was exiled to another universe, *almost* sacrificed in a ritual and got his hand chopped off in the escape, and is now looking for a way back to his own universe.
Calen wants to return home because he feels a duty to fight the dragons who are no-doubt spreading their evil empire across his world.
Nikolai was an orphan raised in the religious Order of St. Ignatius and formed into an aberration to serve their purpose. This left him with a lot of power, but also disability. The chimeric process scrambled his brain and left him without initiative and unable to well understand or anticipate human emotion anymore.
For his service in the order, he followed the commands of others and relied on their conformity for a sense of belonging.
When the order was declared heretical by the larger church, it was disbanded. The former St. Ignatians were given an edict of solitude, never again to gather.
Now he wanders aimlessly from town to town where he is received like a feral dog- with disdain, fear, or cautious pity. He wants nothing more than to regain some sense of fraternity, but looking as he does and with the history of the Order of St. Ignatius, it is not easy to find a sympathetic person. |
