I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: Life it TOO SHORT to be scared of peanut butter💁🏼‍♀️ Or any other food that matter. . If any foods give you feelings of anxiety, fear, guilt or shame, then that’s a sign something is not quite healthy with your relationship food and your body. That’s nothing to be ashamed of or try to hide, in fact it’s something I see in 99% of clients I work with. But it DOESN’T have to that way. You too can make peace with food🙏🏼 . One particular food doesn’t make you gain weight or become unhealthy. One meal or even a week of eating a bit more than or differently usual won’t make you gain weight or become unhealthy. And stressing over food is one HUNDRED TIMES unhealthier for us than any food would be in the first place💛 I still remember the first time I allowed myself to eat real peanut butter again after years of not touching it (or using PB2 instead🙄), it felt SO freeing, and was a million times more satisfying, that I almost felt like crying out of happiness and relief. Just ask my Mum🙈 . Food should be something to be grateful for: It nourishes our bodies, fuels our daily adventures + allows us to function and live our lives, creates memories and experiences, and tastes delicious✨😌 . Please reach out for help and support if you can not overcome some of these negative beliefs around food on your own. You deserve that freedom. And life is infinitely better when you reach it🦋

Proof that you can live your life and still lose weight 🤷🏼‍♀️ It doesn’t always workout like this, but last Sunday I was -23 points. I rolled over points all week to bring my negatives down to -5 and then I lost! I didn’t starve all week or punish myself! I just planned 🤷🏼‍♀️ I had salads for lunches, tacos for dinner, and lots of fruit so that I could balance out the fact that I had lots of vodka and too much drunken pizza last Saturday night. Work the plan and the plan works! And always remember, bodies are weird. Some weeks I’ve been absolutely perfect and didn’t lose a thing. “Party Rock” 🎶🎶 Non-scale victory !!🏅🏅 . . I had another appointment with Dr. Julie ( my fairy dog-mother 🧚‍♀️ ), and used her water-treadmill. Not only did I walk for a solid twenty minutes, this was the fastest I have ever gone. Also, Dr. Julie added extra water! That means I had extra resistance during my walk. I’m so lucky Dr. Julie lets me use her treadmill whenever I want for my workouts. However, so long as I have one of my toys, it hardly even feels like I’m working out 💪. Sitting in the waiting room, knowing I would be stepping on their scale made me anxious. Borderline nauseous. - The rest of my day would be determined by what the scale said. If it was lower than what I thought, I was happy. I was validated that whatever I was doing must be working. If it was higher than what I thought, I had failed, yet again. - I didn’t own a scale, so the only time I actually stepped on a scale was when I went to see my doctor. Using a single once a year weigh-in to determine how well something is working? Sounds pretty crazy doesn’t it? But it was my reality at the time. - The reason I didn’t own a scale is because I was scared of it. I didn’t understand it or how it worked. I avoided stepping on the scale for the better part of 30 years. And admittedly, I became OK with not knowing how much I weighed. I knew I had lost weight by virtue of how my clothes no longer fit, and how I liked how I looked and I felt great. - But…. - I still didn’t own a scale. I still got that familiar lump in my stomach stepping on it at the Doctor’s office every year. - So….. - I bought a scale and not only weighed in every single day, but I also posted my weigh-ins on social media daily as part of the #justanothermuggle  challenge that my partner @syattfitness  was doing. - People often asked me “why are you weighing in every day if you are happy with where you are?”. Great question. As I told @syattfitness , it is something that still made me uncomfortable with just the thought of it. It was a fear that I hadn’t conquered yet, so it was time. Time to finally conquer the fear. - The first time I stepped on my scale, I thought I would throw up. Literally. LIt was that bad. But every single time after that, it got better. Easier. And after a while, I started to look forward to it. - I learned SO much about how my own weight fluctuates. It was invaluable. - I am no longer weighing in every day. Not out of fear, but by choice. I will resume stepping on the scale as my goals will be changing a bit. - If you fear the scale, it’s time to conquer that fear once and for all. Embrace it for what it is, and learn from it. - You got this. Love You

Photo on the left was me at my heaviest in January 2019. Photo on the right was in mid August. It’s crazy to me how much weight I’ve lost within the last year. I’ve lost a total of 17 pounds since January 2019. This is the healthiest, fittest I’ve been in my entire life. I’m sad that it took a break up for me to take charge of my health, but it’s better than nothing. I’m currently 147lbs and trying to hit 140lbs by the end of the year! If I can lose 17lbs in 7 months, I can lose 7lbs in 3 😁 also in addition to that, I signed up for my first 5k yesterday with my sister. This was not an easy post to make, y'all. But, it's where I'm starting from, and I need to face it head on. This weight is not the highest I've ever been, but it's certainly not where I want to be. Consistently staying out of the 200s has plagued me for the past 2 years. When I started working out at @cummingfitbodybootcamp  , I was around 230. My lowest in the past 2 years was 194. I'm ready to get back to "one-derland" and stay there! From here on out, Fridays will be weekly weigh-in day. I'll also be posting progress pictures and measurements as we go along. Decided to have breakfast today, and man, four eggs with cheese was ENOUGH!
