Yes, trains are great for doing work and reading, but I forgot just how jolty the older ones are.
I finished Daughter of the Forest on Saturday and, after having a couple of days to think about it, thought I might be able to articulate my thoughts better than I did when I subjected my poor housemate to my crazed noises. Alas, with such a bumpy train ride to contend with, I figure I can wait until the end of the journey to finish my notes.
Hopefully, by the time I’ve written my notes, I’ll have come up with a title for my blog - my mind’s still throwing a blank! When I’ve done that, I can actually start leaving reviews, which I really want to start doing.
Until then, I’m going to start The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo. My plan had been to just read the books on my bookshelf at uni, starting with those I might not take back with me, but I didn’t have room in my bag. And I’d bought this anyway, so I guess I might as well start.
It’s the first book I’ve read that I saw being highly recommended all over Twitter and Instagram, so I’m looking forward to reading it to see if it lives up to the hype.
I’ve just finished Chapter 5, so I’m interested to see if Monique will narrate it all or if some will be the “book” she’s writing about Evelyn.
Has anyone else read it? Did you enjoy it?
