Do you ever get the case of the tomorrows? “I’ll do that tomorrow.” “I’ll go through those bills tomorrow,” “I’ll work out tomorrow,” “I’ll write the e-mail tomorrow,” “I’ll ........” No?
Just me!? I heard someone say this once, “tomorrow was a busy day,” and thought, “Damn, that’s a good one.”
I remember when I was a kid my grandma would sometimes send us kids to go get a free magazine for her at the 711 down the street from our house. She would sometimes give us some change for some candy.
My sisters, cousins, and I would go into the store and try to negotiate with the guy at the counter to give us some hot Cheetos for the change we had (which probably wasn’t near what it was worth at the time). The guy would always say, “tomorrow.” So, we would leave and come back and ask him again, he would reply, “tomorrow.” After a few consecutive days of this, my cousins, sisters and I said, “you said that yesterday!” he replied, “tomorrow never comes.”
Lol he made us laugh and made us think, it was worth not getting chips in return. I’m grateful to that guy.
You never know who you’re going to affect. I bet that man doesn’t remember me, but I remember what he taught me.
Live today tomorrow is not promised. 😘💜💖🌞 Happy Monday! #caseofthemondays #YOLO #motivationalquotes #inspirationalquotes
