FLIP YOUR PERSPECTIVE 🙃 ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ One of the things that sets an ordinary life apart from an extraordinary one is the ability to view the same situation from a different perspective. We all interface with the same world every day, so why is it that some people are happier, more fulfilled and more successful? More often than not, it is all about their perspective. ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ Imagine there are two (otherwise perfectly healthy) boys from the same town born with a rare gene that means they can’t ride a hoverboard. In a world filled with cars and public transport this usually isn’t too much of a problem - however in the town that they were born, cars are illegal and bicycles are too expensive. So everyone rides a hoverboard. ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ With nothing in common with their local hoverboard-riding residents, the two boys grow up isolated from the other kids their age. One of the boys is so frustrated with this situation that he spends all of his time locked away indoors, angry at the world for the bad luck he was born with. But the other treats this very same luck as an opportunity - and opens the town’s first hoverboard repair shop. ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ As everyone in town visits the shop for maintenance of their hoverboards, they realise what a great guy the shop owner really is. He gets invited to the town’s social gatherings and makes a group of friends he keeps for life. And he makes so much money repairing hoverboards, he eventually moves to the town next door where everyone rides unicycles. Here he meets the love of his life and lives happily ever after, enjoying long unicycle rides at sunset together every evening. ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ The moral of the story is: we can’t control everything that happens in our lives, but we CAN control the way that we look at it. ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ How many times can you see an opportunity where everyone else sees a problem? ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ How often can you be grateful when others are down in the dumps? ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ These small shifts in perspective are the keys that will create a life of value and a life worth living. ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ How would your life be different if you flipped your perspective today? ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ 📸 @muscle_up_jarvis

MOMENTUM 👇 ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ Ask any runner on a cold and rainy morning what the hardest part of their workout is going to be today... and you’ll always get the same response. ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ The hardest part is not mile 1. Or even mile 7. It’s getting out of bed, lacing up their shoes and heading out the door. ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ But as soon as their foot first hits the pavement they’ve already done the hardest part... ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ They’re out. They’re moving. They have the momentum. ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ Same goes for the person first getting started on a healthy diet. The hardest part is that FIRST meal. Every meal after that gets easier as they build momentum and experience the benefits of their new lifestyle. ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ These are both examples of positive momentum. These foods are high in water and fibre, helping to keep you full and energised for HOURS after eating 🌱 ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ When we restrict our portion sizes our bodies hunger signals go into overdrive 😩 making it almost impossible to stay on track! ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ However when we focus on eating an ABUNDANCE of wholesome and nutrient dense foods we can stay full and satisfied for much longer periods of time 👌 ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ And here’s the best part of all.. ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ Following a plant based diet is the easiest way to eat HUGE portions of high volume, high fibre and high nutrient content foods without packing in excess calories! ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ Plus, eating this way is so delicious you won’t feel like you’re missing out on anything at all 😍 ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ Who else loves high volume eating? 🙌 ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ 📷 @plantbased_food_and_travel

Training teaches you to get out of your comfort zone. Training teaches you to deal with fatigue and pain. In turn you are forced to get fitter, stronger and more durable and both a physical AND mental level. ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ Through training the things that were once a struggle soon become insignificant. Fatigue becomes just another state. Discomfort becomes a challenge. Growth becomes a goal to be chased in all areas of our lives. ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ Yes of course you can grow physically stronger and healthier through training too. But these are just a few of the countless rewards. Train to be a better athlete and be a better human too. Train to grow both physically AND mentally. Train to show the world your true potential.
